What to Expect on Sundays
We would love for you to join us for one of our Sunday worship services! We trust you will be encouraged, challenged, and filled with joy as we worship Christ together and study His Word.
-
A typical service includes the following elements:
Prayer
We humbly come before God as we gather to give Him honor and glory. The prayers include petition, preparation, and praise, among others (Col. 4:2)
Worship
We join together and with gratitude in our hearts sing Psalms, hymns and spiritual songs to God (Col. 3:16).
Scripture Reading
We read the Bible as a means of preparing our hearts to humbly receive the Word, which is able to save our souls (James 1:21, 1 Tim. 4:13).
Expository Preaching
We preach and teach the Bible verse by verse with contemporary application for our lives, so that the people of God may be well equipped for every good work (Nehemiah 8:8, 2 Tim. 3:17).
Giving and Tithing
We pass around offering plates as we contemplate God's providence upon our lives and give back to God a portion of what He has entrusted us with (2 Cor. 9:7).
Benediction and Doxology
We generally conclude the service with a traditional doxology (Eph. 3:20-21) or benediction (Numbers 6:24-26).
-
The service generally lasts one hour and twenty minutes.
-
We mainly focus on doctrinally rich music which consists of traditional hymns, contemporary songs, and the Psalms - with the primary emphasis on congregational singing.
