Below is the summary outline of points:
1. Obedience is Profitable
Obeying the Lord’s commands, and following the leadership He has given you is spiritually beneficial.
2. Readiness
What things do you need to return to? What spiritual disciplines do you need to re-commit yourself to and re-start?
Remember the progression of willingness:
a. Unwillingly Doing
b. Willing & Influnced
c. Internal Willingness
3. Growing Desire
As you pursue obedience and sanctification, it will lead to a greater desire for sanctification and spiritual growth.
4. Pursuing Equality
We all have something to bring to the table that one of our brothers/sisters in Christ needs. God has given us all resources, and collectively, we have the resources we need in our church community. Bring your resources to the table.
You need the body - the body needs you.
Three Steps of Doing:
1. Because I have to
2. Ok, I’ll go along with it
3. A deep desire to do it.
Strive toward and pray that the Lord helps you to move through the steps. Start at step 1 when necessary (it’s not wrong), but always strive to be moving toward step 3. You’ll have setbacks an sometimes have to start over. That’s fine. The goal is growth. Sanctification is a long-term group project. Be intentional toward growth and being fully engaged in the church God has placed you in.
Grace & Peace
